On September 20, 2012, Idyllwild Pines’ recieved 92 new toilets that were installed by a group of wonderful volunteers who have a heart to serve and now the value of working toilets at camp. We are truly blessed for this upgrade and know our guests will be happy campers.  Thank you so much to all who helped make this happen!

Men’s Boot Camp “Inspirational”

Ted Ewing, Bryan Quan, David Lily, and Dave Nuckles teamed together to put on the Men’s Boot Camp at Idyllwild Pines Camp on Sept 29-Oct 2, 2011.  The Camp, based off content from John Eldredge’s book, Wild at Heart, blessed each man who desired to find the deep passions and desires placed there in his heart by God.  Highlights included the gifted speakers, fellowship, quiet time, evening campfire, outdoor activities and great food! Dr. Carol Devotes Time to Idyllwild Pines

Dr. Carol from Indianapolis, Indiana is a seasoned doctor serving the Indianapolis area for over 40 years. She is excited about her new ministry opportunities with Idyllwild Pines Camp and volunteered 4 weeks of her vacation time to help beautify the facilities. She is very active in her community, her church, and loves serving the Lord, all for His glory.

Low Ropes Enhance Leadership Retreat

High school students from Simon and Jude Parish participated in the low elements course at Idyllwild Pines Camp during their summer leadership retreat. Through several teambuilding activities students were encouraged to participate in organized outdoor elements that incorporates risk taking, problem-solving, coaching and collaboration.

Archery Programming

Students from St. Catherines participated in the Archery program lead by Ted Ewing, Director of Program and Curriculum. These young boys were challenged to stay focus in life even among trials and most importantly, not to get down when they don’t hit the target because it is with God’s help when we succeed!

IPC Facelift

Idyllwild Pines began their 2011 summer season with a facelift.  The beautification project enhanced the gate way entrance, increased parking and improved guest loading and unloading zones.  Trails were more clearly marked, native shrubs planted, and the prayer garden was redesigned to facilitate reflection, meditation and prayer.

LAICC Water Wars

Over 640 staff and campers (5th-8th graders) from Los Angeles International Church of Christ descended upon Idyllwild Pines new grass sports field for their 11th annual water wars on Thursday night,  July 14th. Leaders were overwhelmed by water balloon launchers, super soakers, and hoses as middle schoolers prevailed.
